Sepsis Vitality – New Sepsis And Post Sepsis Blog Logo

In designing and deciding upon graphics for my Sepsis Vitality – New Sepsis And Post Sepsis Blog Logo I wanted to concentrate on healing, well being and hope.

I’ve already been using the name Vitality in another blog I write about my life-long struggle with Irritable Bowel Syndrome – IBS VITALITY.

So when it came time for me to feel like I could write about my Sepsis journey, it seemed an obvious choice for me to name this new blog SEPSIS VITALITY to match! It seemed fitting and a way to mix the horrors of Sepsis with an air of hope and energy.

I love the meaning of the word itself – detailed as follows…

  • the state of being strong and active; energy.
  • the power giving continuance of life, present in all living things.
I feel that both these lines are so apt in how I feel about surviving Sepsis. I have had to find both my own power to continue my life and I have to work hard at putting myself into a state of being strong and active. This is especially hard when dealing primarily with the overwhelm of nearly dying and then facing the long-term affects of Post Sepsis Syndrome.
Its also apt that the word Vitality is about ‘energy’, as I frequently talk about how I currently live around my own energy cycles and what I feel I am capable of doing each day.
And in the background of this logo is an image of blue sky and the beach – and my absolute favourite cobalt blue colours. Taken by myself on one of my many trips before Sepsis up the North Coast of Ireland. A place where my young family and I go for holidays to get away from it all. A place to recover.
And the blue sky itself – an image to remind us that there will be blue skies ahead!
It reminds me of this great wee song by Jessica Lea Mayfield…enjoy!
